Based in Vista, CA
Custom Creations West started as a multifamily pool and landscape contractor that grew and grew over time.
Gil Diaz, a twenty-year veteran in the pool construction and landscape design industry, has a natural talent for building quality outdoor spaces. Outdoor renovations are his passion!
Fast forward to today, CCW now operates in both the multifamily and residential sectors creating backyard bliss for residents all over Southern California. Whether it's a basketball court with seating, a swimming pool with a grotto, or an outside cabana bar with digital everything - if you can dream it, we can build it!
CCW brings the in-depth technical knowledge and experience others can't.

Gil Diaz
Owner | Director Construction
Gil Diaz has been working in the construction industry for the past twenty years. His natural talent for building in-ground pools and outdoor spaces led him to branch out and launch Custom Creations West.
Gil is the lead Project Manager and oversees on-site construction and quality control. Once your project's scope, pricing and schedule are finalized Gil takes over the project and manages execution with some trades self performed.
As a North County native who's married with four children, he understands the importance of outdoor spaces in San Diego weather well. Families need space outside to relax, play, and gather. Gil is extremely personable and usually ends up friends with his customers - as a result, he hires people with the same friendly professional vibe. In his off-time, he is as outdoorsy as it gets - off road enthusiast, outdoor cooking master, and spending time with his beautiful wife and children.

Marty Mead
Sales & Design Specialist
Marty Mead is our lead Sales Representative and Designer for Custom Creations West. He has been in the in-ground pool industry for the past five years and in sales for over twenty. Marty has a natural gift for connecting with our customers on a personal level and guiding them through the process of bringing their outdoor visions to life.
As a designer and sales representative, Marty is your first point of contact after reaching out to Custom Creations West. He takes the time to listen to what you want and guides you from vision to reality. He tends to get very excited when someone calls to have a backyard renovation - to him taking their ideas and turning them into a 3D design is incredibly rewarding. He listens, he guides, and then he creates a visual that carves a path to making your backyard dream a reality.
Marty’s always had a passion for pools and outdoor living. Marty has worked for several local pool builders in his career and has been with Custom Creations West for over a year now. He brings experience, in-depth knowledge, and a customer-service mindset to every project he’s overseeing.
Once scope, price, and schedule are locked in you are assigned a project crew, and Marty assists with making sure all your scope details are met along the way. He's with you from start to finish.
Marty, also a San Diego North County native lives in Bonsall, CA, and is married with three daughters, a cat named Milo and a Frenchie bulldog named Ollie who runs the show at home.

Aeriel Fernandez
Operations Manager
Meet our Operations Manager – Aeriel Fernandez.
Aeriel plays a key role in the execution of your outdoor renovation project from concept to completion. Whether pulling permits or assisting clients with material selections, Aeriel maintains open lines of communication while organizing the necessary critical details to meet milestones and see your project through to completion in a timely manner.
With a unique background that blends business management, construction, and design, Aeriel brings a fresh creative perspective to CCW. She is passionate about her role with us and truly loves connecting with our clients while creating true backyard bliss across San Diego, one family at a time.
Born and raised in San Diego, naturally, Aeriel loves the beach and the unmatched Mexican food. When she’s not in the office or on a jobsite, Aeriel enjoys spending time with her crazy Frenchie squad of three, or stand-up paddleboarding across the North County Coast.
